Beverly Simmons is a graphic designer, copy editor, singer, and art administrator. For more than three decades, she has designed materials for musicians, businesses, and publications, which promote the distinctive qualities of her clients. Informed by her experience as concert presenter and artist manager, her designs have a proven effectiveness.
The studio’s name, ffortissimo, is taken from the musical term meaning “very strong” (or “very loud”). It is the strength of each individual client that comes through in ffortissimo Design‘s productions.
Bev’s checkered career has included stints as a university professor, radio broadcaster, choral conductor, contest judge, shawm & sackbut player, and singing actor (usually typecast as a Jewish mother or nun). Most important have been her roles as mother, wife, daughter, sister, niece, auntie, and friend.
